The one thing I have always hated about marketplaces is that they are filled with all your competitors. I work hard to build my business and develop a following. Not only do I spend hours of my own valuable time marketing my shop, but I pay good hard earned money to advertise on Project Wonderful.

Yet the truth of the matter is that every time I send someone to my Etsy shop, I am sending a new customer to Etsy. Even worse, if they know how to use a search bar, there's a really good chance they'll end up at my competitors doorstop.
